Introduction:
Walking has been
described as one of the most trusted ways of losing weight. Calories burned walking is said to be
inevitable as walking is a sure way to lose weight. Walking to lose weight
comes in different ways. Short term walking keeps you healthy, without losing
weight; nothing strenuous but long stretch walking keeps you trim and trendy;
you see yourself actually shedding those pounds. Walking directed at losing
weight would produce results when it is done continuously with long distances being
eaten up! Thus, a 20-30minute walk daily would work wonders on your body.
Walking works when all other avenues of losing weight have all but been
exhausted.
Statistically speaking, Calories
burned walking in 30 minutes depends on your speed. Research says that about 100 calories is burned per mile when
walking fast. If you're walking fast then you'll do a mile in about 15 minutes.
I should add that the calories you lose depends on your weight depending on how
much weight you are packing; which is to say the more the weight, the greater
the number of calories you lose. This ultimately means that in 30 minutes, if
you are overweight, you will burn 200 calories! You find that unbelievable
right? But this is so true! If only people would believe it and work at it, I guess
tales of woe concerning being overweight will reduce drastically.
People between the ages of 18-35 give and take do not have
much complaints of being overweight as they are prone to walk. That is not to
say that people within this age bracket are not obese, but my contention is
that they are not as much as those in other age brackets. Now, if they do that
for a few hours every week, it reduces the chances of the adding weight. The calories burned walking will not return
if you keep on walking.
According to American Journal of Clinical
Nutrition, you lose
up to 1300 calories in a week if you walk for a sum total of 240 minutes per
week. Think you can do it? However way you look at it, it takes determination
and a certain inspiration to attain the goal of losing weight through calories burned walking.
I think calories burned walking should not be
taken for granted. You can gain whole lot when you walk; what's more? You see
things that you took for granted or never paid attention to. It is really
relaxing I must say... A walk they say can lengthen your life. Walking has no
age restriction and that is the fun part as you meet with people with same goal
on your walk path. In truth, I would choose walking to any other kind weight
